Hurricane Felicia
So about a month ago, Hurricane Felicia was headed our way and we were getting prepared. There were daily updates on the radio about the status of the hurricane and we were getting counsel from our ward and stake leaders about what we needed to do to prepare ourselves in case it hit us. We stocked up on water and food (the grocery store was crazy!), made sure we brought in everything from outside, and steeled ourselves for the hit. Then it was downgraded to a tropical storm and by the time it hit us, it was nothing more than a big storm, really no bigger than we get on a weekly basis here. As it continued on, it left us with an amazingly beautiful rainbow to remind us how lucky we were.

WOW! Gorgeous!
We had a huge lightening storm hit us while we camped in Moab. There was a hit per second and those dark black clouds just kept heading our way and we were in the middle of nowhere. The wind picked up, it was scary for me and the kids, but it passed and we sighed that sigh. We didn't get a rainbow that time, but just making it through sometimes feels so peaceful again.
That would be really freaky...I'm glad you guys didn't have to suffer through a hurricane. What a beautiful rainbow!
